The Carver Residential Historic District is on the National Register of Historic Places and comprises the majority of housing in the neighborhood. The houses date to the late 19th century and were built in the popular Greek Revival, Italianate and Queen Anne architectural styles of the time.

There is free on-street parking. Our street stays quiet with little through traffic so finding a space (especially in the evenings) is typically straightforward. There is also one (1) off-street parking space behind the house inside the fence accessible via the alley. In Carver, there are a lot of bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and parks, not to mention the close proximity to both VCU's Monroe Park campus and all that Scott's Addition has to offer.
